The Brisbane Branch enjoyed a presentation by Adli Wahid entitled “Photographing Bees around the House” at our April meeting. Adli works in IT, and hails originally from Malaysia, and over the past 5 years has developed a passion for photography, gardening and bees. He shared his journey as he developed all three of these mutually supporting hobbies in a light-hearted and entertaining way. Some highlights were his first photo shared on Social Media in 2018, a Blue Banded Bee, venturing into posting more photos on websites, acquiring equipment in an economical way and experimenting with lighting and magnification.
