Dr Anne Dollin is an exemplary science communicator having spent her life not just doing native bee research but making it accessible to everyone. This month she sent out her last AUSSIE BEE EMAIL UPDATE, Number 45 / November 2024, more than 20 years after the first
edition. We thank you Anne for your Email Updates which long provided an important and valuable way to communicate with Australians interested in native bees.

Anne also recommends joining the AUSTRALIAN NATIVE BEE ASSOCIATION: “This rapidly-growing association with twelve active subbranches runs workshops and seminars, and spreads the word about native bees at community events. The ANBA provides an informative monthly newsletter, supports research into native bees and also tackles important legislative issues such as gaining approval for a new standard permitting the sale and use of honey produced by Australian native stingless bees ”.
