Coffs Harbour branch held their AGM on the 24th of July at the Botanic Gardens.
There were two nominations for the branch executive:
Monica Rich continues as chairperson / Secretary,
Elaine Bean continues as treasurer.
We have changed the frequency of meetings to bimonthly (every two months).
Following the formalities we enjoyed discussions on bee-friendly gardens, with members offering recommendations on plants they had found to attract bees in their own gardens. There was a raffle with 3 prize lots of flow-er seeds, kindly donated by Bunnings. The attendees also took home pots of broccolini seedlings which had been contributed from the garden of one of our members.
Many thanks to Stephen Fowler from Northern Rivers Beekeeping Supplies who donated a hive box. This was sold via silent auction and also generated much discussion on the design of boxes for native bees.
