Wide Bay branch – June 2023

The Wide bay branch has continued working their way through Tim Heard’s book, with the chapter about forag-ing raising much discussion about the effect of tempera-ture and cloud cover on foraging, as noticed in member’s own backyards.
As the group meets at a different home each month, the June meeting gave everyone the chance to admire the role of dombeya and Mexican sunflower shrubs in providing winter food for stingless bees at a suburban property largely surrounded by grass paddocks.
